Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Kolkata (Flight TBA)
On arrival at Kolkata International airport, you will be welcomed by our executive and assisted for transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : In Kolkata
Early morning, visit Howrah Bridge, the bridge connects two major cities of West Bengal, namely Howrah and Kolkata. The area around Howrah Bridge is the house of two major places – Mullik Ghat and the Colorful Flower Market.

Return to hotel for breakfast and then start for the city tour exploring the wonders of the famous City of Joy – Kolkata. The first stop is the monumental symbol of Kolkata, the Victoria Memorial, designed by Sir William Emerson, the Victoria Memorial is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style. The architecture of Victoria also has elements from the Mughals that adds to the elegance of the structure. The garden especially was designed by Lord Redesdale and Sir David Prain. This special memorial was established to honor Queen Victoria.

Now it's time for a fun Tonga Ride, which is often referred to as the heritage ride along the VIP circle area. The exclusive city tour continues with a drive around St. John’s Church, which is one of the first architectural wonders created by the British during their stay in Kolkata.  The spiritual journey continues with the visit to St. Paul’s Cathedral. It was established in the year 1839. In the year 1874, St. Paul’s was consecrated. Also pay a visit to the Mother Teressa House.

Next we stop at of the famous South Park Street Cemetery. In the 19th century, it was marked as one of the largest Christian cemetery outside America and Europe.  Finally, visit to Park Street, lined with cafes, restaurants, bars and shops, it’s more upscale here than the rest of Kolkata. While it’s lost a little of its luster with more commercialization than the rest of Kolkata, it still retains some of its old world charm.

Day 3 : Kolkata - Baripada (By Road 230 kms / 4-5 hrs)
Today after breakfast we start our journey exploring the Eastern part of India towards Belagadia Palace in Baripada as the young royals have opened the gates for the outside world. The countryside drive will be full of surprises coming across a delight for Photograph lovers. We shall make stopover in between for photography and refreshments.

On reaching the palace, we meet and interact with the Royal family. The balance of the day will be free to roam around the palace, its gardens and the mango orchards.

Day 4 : In Baripada
Post breakfast proceed for your full day visit of nearby area discovering the nice Royal Buildings & Temples build by the Royal family, Terracotta monuments.

Next we visit the Santal Tribal Village considered among the oldest tribes in Indian forwarded from the Pre Aryan times. The Santal tribes are still found in few regions of eastern India they are West Bengal, Orissa and Jharkhand.

Enjoy a local Cuisine (Rice Puff and mutton) in the city.

Evening free to relax and enjoy the stay at the palace hotel.

Day 5 : Baripada – Lulung (Similipal National Park) (By Road)
Morning after breakfast we start our drive to Lulung and will stay at the Buffer Zone of Similipal Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon visit the swamp area for Bird Watching and the nearby Tribal villages.

Day 6 : In Lulung
Morning enjoy a Cycle Ride in the lap of nature to have a feeling of adventure and explore the small tribal habitats on the way.

Return back to the resort for breakfast. Post breakfast proceed for the Safari to enjoy the Flora & Fauna inside the sanctuary. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch at the waterfall.

Day 7 : Lulung – Bhitarkanika, Auli (By Road 170 kms / 4-5 hrs)
After breakfast start the drive to Auli, to explore Bhitarkanika Wildlife Mangrove Sanctuary. En-route visit the countryside villages near to tidal rivers.

Day 8 : In Bhitarkanika, Auli
After breakfast proceed for a Boat Cruise in the creeks to explore different species of Birds and Reptiles. The place is famous for Estuarine Crocodiles and 09 varieties of King fishers.

Also, trek inside the mangrove forest to see more species and wildlife in their natural habitat.

Day 9 : Auli – Dhenkanal (By Road 140 kms / 03 hrs)
Morning check out and start the drive to Dhenkanal, en-route visiting the Buddhist Archeological sites of Ratnagiri and Udayagiri from 2 nd century AD to 11 th century AD.

Ratnagiri was once the site of a mahavihara, or major Buddhist monastery, in the Brahmani and Birupa river valley in Jajpur district of Odisha, India. It is close to other Buddhist sites in the area, including Pushpagiri, Lalitagiri and Udayagiri.

Udayagiri is the largest Buddhist complex composed of major stupas and monasteries (viharas). Together with the nearby complexes of Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri, it is part of Puspagiri University. The heritage sites are also known collectively as the "Diamond Triangle" of the "Ratnagiri-Udayagiri- Lalitgiri" complex.

Day 10 : In Dhenkanal
After breakfast drive to visit the Monks of Mahima cult at Joranda, their temple & rituals. Distinctly this group of people are different than others as they follow the best aspects of Hindu, Jaina and Buddhist regligion.

We also visit the lost wax process work of the artisans in Karamul village. The lunch will be in the palace and the afternoon free to relax. (If one is fortunate enough, you can see wild elephants in the nearby forests in the evening).

Day 11 : Dhenkanal – Nuapatana – Puri (By Road 170 kms / 05 hrs)
Today we drive to our next destination Puri, en-route visiting the Textile Villages of Nuapatna famous for Ikkat system of weaving (the tie & dye traditional way).

Then continue with our drive with next stop to Artisan village of Raghurajur to witness their amazing Patta (Leaf) Paintings & Palm Leaf Ectching.

On reaching Puri, check in to your hotel.

Day 12 : Puri – Konark – Puri (By Road 40 kms one-way)
After breakfast start for your excursion to Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO Heritage site dedicated to the Sun God. The word 'Konark' is a combination of two words 'Kona' and 'Arka'. 'Kona' means 'Corner' and 'Arka' means 'Sun', so when combines it becomes 'Sun of the Corner'. Konark is also known as Arka khetra. There are three images of the Sun God at three different sides of the temple, positioned in proper direction to catch the rays of the sun at morning, noon and evening.

Sun Temple of Konark, built in the middle of 13th century, is a massive conception of artistic magnificence and engineering dexterity. Since the ruler used to worship the Sun, the temple was considered as a chariot for the Sun God. Konark Temple was designed in the form of a gorgeously decorated chariot mounted on 24 wheels, each about 10 feet in diameter, and drawn by 7 mighty horses. Whatever that might be, the Konark Temple even in its present ruined state, still a wonder to the whole world.

Later walk to visit the nearby Fisherman Village. Then start the drive back to Puri through the Marine Drive and visit the Puri Local Market. Also see the famous Jagannath Temple from the rooftop of nearby building (as Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple). Puri is also known, for the yearly Jaganath Yatra or Chariot Festival.

Day 13 : Puri – Bhubaneshwar (By Road 70 kms / 02 hrs)
Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and start the drive to Bhubaneshwar, also referred to as the city of Temples. On reaching Bhubaneshwar check-in to your hotel.

Post lunch enjoy a tour visiting some prominent temples are Parasuramewar Temple (7 th century AD), Mukteswar Temple (10 th century AD), Rajarani Temple (11 th century AD) and Lingaraj Temple (11 th century AD).

Day 14 : Bhubaneshwar – Kolkata Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to connect flight to Kolkata.

At Kolkata airport you will met and assisted for transfer to a hotel near the airport. Free time to relax and for independent activities.

Evening enjoy your Farewell Dinner and then later, as per your return flight time, 03 hours prior you will be dropped back to the airport to connect your flight back home.
